That's right — today we are celebrating our Pool's fifth birthday! And once again, we want to say a big thank you to all our miners, whose continued struggle against the ever-swinging prices of cryptos is key to the security of the Litecoin blockchain.
During this past year, our miners computed over 4 × 1018 hashes. That is 4 quintillion, or 4 billion billion, hashes, and it's more than we mined in our first 4 years of operation! If each hash were a drop of oil, we would have already “mined” more than twice the total amount of crude oil on Earth, which was recently estimated at about 1.7 trillion barrels, or 270 trillion liters!
