SegWit Locks In, Will Activate In Two Weeks

The SegWit soft fork reached the locked-in status at the end of activation period 6, with block 1193471, which was mined on April 27. This means that SegWit is going to activate on Litecoin after block 1201535, which is expected to be mined in about 14 days (the actual timing will depend on how the network's total hash rate evolves).

We would like to remember miners that they do not need to upgrade their mining software in order to support SegWit. It is pools and solo miners that need to implement SegWit support, and Litecoinpool.org's software has been ready since January.
