The Dual LTC+DOGE PPS System is Live!

As announced three weeks ago, today we are switching to a new reward system, which rewards miners in both litecoins and dogecoins. Both rewards are still computed according to a pure PPS system, based on each network's current difficulty. Since virtually all of the profitability of merged mining currently comes from Dogecoin, and DOGE will now be paid out directly, we must reintroduce a nominal PPS fee. The good news is that we are setting the fee at a mere 2%, a significantly lower point compared to the other major Litecoin pools.

You should not expect a change in your profits. You are now earning two cryptos instead of just one, but the overall value should be about the same as before. Or possibly a little higher, on average, since the new system takes cryptocurrency conversion fees out of the equation.

If you haven't already, make sure that you enter a Dogecoin address in your account settings to receive payments. On the same page you can also adjust your auto-payout threshold. The auto-payout interval setting applies to both LTC and DOGE, and the minimum value you can set now depends on both thresholds, according to the usual rule: the higher the thresholds, the lower the allowed payout interval. On that note, you may be pleased to hear that we have lowered the minimum threshold for Litecoin payouts from 0.01 to 0.002 LTC.

To simplify things, we are removing the option to automatically subtract a donation from a user's rewards. Despite always having been disabled by default, the presence of this option has caused users some confusion in the past, and since adoption is very low, we think this is for the best.

Several pages on the website have been updated and expanded to account for the new reward system. This includes of course the reward details page and the payments page, but also the mining profitability calculator, the charts and the FAQ. And, naturally, the API.

We hope you enjoy this upgrade. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send us an email!
